Because of Israel’s and Judah’s evil, you have made the house that carries your name what it is today.

And thou hast made the temple, in which thy name was called upon, as it is at this day, for the iniquity of the house of Israel, and the house of Juda.

And because of the sin of the people of Israel and Judah, you have reduced your own Temple to ruins, even as it is today.
